Portables
A variety of portable and mobile C-frame hardness testers have been developed to provide a convenient means for determining hardness readings in situations that do not lend themselves to bench testing. They are typically classified by the test scales they perform. Ideal for testing large parts such as pipes, dies, engine blocks, stacked sheets, or tubing on racks. The portable Leeb testers, models M-200A and M-250A are small, handheld devices that operate on the Leeb principle of measuring impact and rebound velocities using electromagnetic principles. For portable Brinell testing, Wilson Instruments offers the durable and versatile King Brinell tester.
